July 27
"Thinking Outside the Box"
Guest Speaker:
Dr. Renee Waun
We have to face
the fact that the way we interact with the world is shifting so rapidly
we can
hardly keep up with it. It
is time to
allow for different paradigms as we yearn for peace and justice in the
world
and as we see how we are really connected in deep and surprising ways
to
systems and people in far away lands.
Dr. Renee Waun serves
three UU churches: East
Suburban UU
Church in Murrysville, the UU Fellowship of the Ligonier Valley and the
UU
Church of the Ohio Valley near Wheeling.
She is the founding sponsor of the
African Rural Schools Foundation,
which serves AIDS orphans in Uganda, and she is one of the founders of
a
proposed charter school on the North Side of Pittsburgh. She would love for you to
ask her about either
one of those special projects.
