Rev. Martha Munson will officially begin her tenure as our interim minister on August 1, 2009 and will be moving into an area apartment in mid-July. She has a prior obligation with the Chautauqua Institution for the first two weeks of August but will begin meeting with some UUCNH leaders before then. She maintains her permanent home in Batavia, N.Y. with her husband, landscape architect David Franke, and has two step-children, Matt in Ithica, N.Y. and Michele and family in Michigan (two grandchildren). Martha (BA in Psychology from Ithica College,'77, M.Div. from Andover Newton Theological School, '80) was ordained by the UU Church of Providence, R.I., the congregation of her youth. She served as a chaplain at the U. V. Medical Center for two years prior to accepting her first position as parish minister. She has served several churches in Canada and Western N.Y., in both parish ministry and interim ministry, most recently completing an interim year at the UU Church of Youngstown, OH. The board has appointed a Transition Team to work in assisting Martha for the duration of her time with us. We look forward to welcoming Martha!
